South Africa’s no. 1 braai companion
Firstly you chop the pepper into squared pieces, then you put a pot on the stove with just only the oil in it. Chop the onion into small pieces then throw it into the pot then stir it for a while, afterwards you throw in the pepper and then you continue stirring.
Add up 2 pinches of fine salt and 2 pinches of cinnamon. Afterwards add the curry powder (optional) to give it a more spicier taste…..stir for a while then add up next the carrots ( finely scratched) and the beans.. Stir, stir, then walah!… your chaka laka is ready.
Tips
Use it as a bread paste or in your bunny chow, it’s delicious….
It’s a good braai companion….
