Is sleeping with a cell phone under a pillow dangerous?



In our current times, access to technology has been made a lot easier. The most used form of technology is the cell phone, most likely because it is one of the most affordable type of communication technology available. Cell phones vary in functions but they all include the main necessary functions, SMS (short-message service) and voice calling.


Cell phones in the 21st century play a very important role in every one’s daily life. They are always with us, at all times, even when we are sleeping we keep them under our pillows, not knowing the consequences of that action.
There is some scientific evidence that prove the cell phone usage has some harmful effects on the brain caused by harmful radiation emitted due to transmission of signal of around 900 MHz . These effects can lead to brain cancer/ brain tumors, headaches and muscle pains.

Ways to reduce cell phone radiations
1. Keep the cell phone several feet away while sleeping.
2.Use the speaker instead of talking directly into the handset.
3.  Text instead of calling.
4.  Make use of headphones or Bluetooth wireless connectors.
5. Put the phone in “airplane mode” if you want to use it at night for its clock and alarm features. It suspends the phone’s transmission functions.

I hope from now on you will change the habit of sleeping with your phone under the pillow now that you know the consequences.
